Below we have listed the anniversaries of statehood for all the States that make up the United States of America. Your state’s anniversary offers a wonderful opportunity to create an annual occasion on that date. For example:

  • Tennessee became the 16th State of the Union on 1st June 1796
  • Kentucky became the 15th State of the Union on 1st June 1792
  • Arkansas became the 25th State of the Union on 15th June 1836
  • West Virginia became the 35th State of the Union on 20th June 1863
  • New Hampshire became the 9th State of the Union on 21st June 1788
  • Virginia became the 10th State of the Union on 25th June 1788

And be on the look out for very, very special anniversaries eg. Arkansas will celebrate its 70th Anniversary of Statehood on the 15th of June in 2006.
