In 1850 Bernhard Stroh, with the $150 capital, established a small brewery at 57 Catherine Street, Detroit. Stroh began brewing a lighter, lager style beer in a copper kettle that held just a little more than a barrel. He personally delivered it in small kegs by wheelbarrow to as many of the 20,000 Detroit population as he could persuade to try his new style beer.
Hence, in the year 2000 Stroh Brewery will celebrate it's 150th birthday.
Stroh Breweries are located at Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania; Longview, Texas; Tampa, Florida; Winston-Salem, North Carolina;
Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; La Crosse, Wisconsin
In case you may think this opportunity to celebrate is only applicable to American hospitality operators, we advise Stroh beers are available in more than 70 countries. These include Canada, Great Britain, Sweden, Japan, Russia, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Mexico, and throughout South America, and to U.S. military bases across the world.

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."
