2005 has been the ‘best year ever’ for this Resort

Last week I was working in Fiji with David Hopcroft and his fantastic team at the Shangri-La Fijian.

I was there, for the second time this year, to do another think tank retreat with twenty five of his management team. It was FANTASTIC. The room was 'on fire' with enthusiasm and ideas. Since David has been appointed General Manager, the Shangri-La Fijian has gone ahead in leaps and bounds. It recently was chosen as the fourth best Resort in the world. WOW! And 2005 has been their best year ever. That's what I call great results!

David, who is an innovative thinker, believes in taking his team away from the Resort for our think tank sessions. This way we can focus, without interruptions, on what has been achieved and then set targets and goals for the future.

The evening before the session began we all went to Eugene's Chef's Restaurant in Nadi. There I saw, what I'm sure is, the world's biggest pepper grinder.
