Waiting for the perfect time?

Are you waiting for the perfect time to introduce a new idea to your team? Or to apply for a new position? Or to ask for a raise? Or to make a life changing decision? Or to make time to look for new and innovative ideas for your business? Or to do something special for someone?

Recently I attended a session given by outstanding Canadian speaker Kit Grant. His advice was simple and succinct. “Stop trying to be a perfectionist. And stop waiting for the perfect time to do something. By the time you think everything is perfect...perfection has moved on. (Computers are the best example of this.) This week I’m speaking at a Convention of International Speakers in Singapore. Although I really don’t have the time (the timing is not perfect), later today I’ll be going to the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore. I simply can’t afford to miss this opportunity of checking out this world renowned hotel. (Thanks Kit).
