Dr Max’s hospitality industry tonic about the 4 T Principle (the firstT)

In a recent article, which featured as a the cover story in the leading Australian business magazine, Inside Business Success, I mentioned my 4T principle. “T”ake “T”ime “T”o “T”hink.

“Take” at least 30 minutes every day for the 4T principle. To begin with try self motivation by asking yourself “If I were on trial for being creative what evidence would the prosecution use against me?”

Make sure the 30 minutes is in your ‘productive time’ of the day. I’m an early bird. It’s no problem for me to get up and start working around 4am each day. This is my very best creative time. My brain is fresh, alive and hungry for new ideas. At the other end of the day, I’m hopeless. So, try to recognize ‘your’ best time for being creative. As you exercise your creativity and make it part of you, it becomes instinctive.
