Secrets to analyzing your competitors’ web page

How do search engines rate your competitors’ web site? How do they rate yours? Did you know that one of the major criteria search engines use (particularly Google) to rank your site is ‘popularity’. And this is measured principally by the links other sites make to your site.

Did you also know the Google search engine allows you to check the number of links to your competitors’ site? (and your own). Do this by going to http://www.google.com and searching for: link:www.their_domain_name.com Eg. Test the number of links on my site. Simply go to Google and search: link:www.HospitalityDoctor.com - It takes seconds to ascertain there are 160 links to my site. Try it yourself.
