The secret to developing great memory skills

If I asked you what day of the week the 7th of July will fall on this year could you answer me without consulting a day planner or a diary? In this e-mail I’d like to share with you a memory secret that will allow you to immediately reply “Yes, the 7th of July falls a Monday.”

If you can remember two six digit numbers you will be on the way to developing a memory skill that will amaze your friends and peers. Here are the two numbers. 522-641 & 637-527

The ‘secret’ is in the organization. Each of these numbers (522-641 & 637-527) represents the first Sunday of each month for 2003. In January the first Sunday fell on the 5th. In February the first Sunday fell on the 2nd. In July the first Sunday will fall on the 6th . Hence the 7th of July will fall on a Monday. The only ‘catch’ is you need to change the numbers at the beginning of each year. For 2004 the numbers are: 417-426 & 415-375.
