A secret to help you become a hospitality 'order maker'

Last week we quoted Jack Westergom the Managing Director or Manhattan Hospitality Advisers He said “Many hotel sales and marketing associates have never lived through a downturn and have no idea how to create or attract business in a down market. Those hotels who fail to do so will cease to exist!” He suggested “the lodging industry will have to create a new generation of order makers as opposed to order takers.”

Here are several opportunities for you to become an order maker! I think a company is likely to celebrate its 200th Anniversary – do you? The question is will they celebrate it at your place. Can you get a piece of the action? Major company Dupont, celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2002. DuPont products have applications in just about every market you can imagine.

NIKE also celebrates a major anniversary in 2002. NIKE operates in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. COMPAQ Computers operate in 105 countries throughout the world and in 2002 will be another company to celebrate a major anniversary.
