It's possible! Here's the key. It recently came to my attention that in 2002 Teddy Bear celebrates his 100th birthday. Teddy's name comes from the 26th President of the United States of America. In 1902 President Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt visited the southern United States to help settle a border dispute between Mississippi and Louisiana. While there he went on a hunting trip and refused to shoot a bear cub. The Washington Post picked up on this and published a cartoon and titled it the hunter who wouldn't shoot. It was published across the USA. Quick thinking and enterprising Boston shopkeeper Morris Michtom saw an opportunity. He cashed in on the publicity by making toy bears and calling them "Teddy's bears."
