Take 2...Dr Max's hospitality industry secret about Shell Oil's 100th Anniversary

Correction:

I'm fortunate to have some very good pals who receive these weekly emails. They give me regular feedback, suggestions and (God forbid) correct me if I make any errors. Within minutes of my latest email going out, Mike Schoettler and Meinert Toberer replied to tell I had made an error in the first paragraph of this week's "Secret."

I wrote:

This year celebrates the 100th anniversary of the amalgamation of competing Dutch and British companies as the two merged into the Asiatic Petroleum Company in 2003. The partnership worked so well that four years later it was extended to cover operations worldwide, with the creation of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies.

It should have read:
